Ever wanted to count the layers in your Photoshop file? Here’s how

A quick Google search turned up the Photoshop Gem of the Year in my opinion. This awesome dude Kyle Tunney wrote a snazzy little script that makes counting your Photoshop masterpieces 800 trillion layers in a snap. Today I counted a 697 layer and a 294 layer quicker than it took to write this post which was faster than the ridiculous task of counting layers one by one.
Not only does this script count your layers, it also lets you realize when enough is enough and quit being a complete fool with so many damn layers. Photoshop has this genius feature called MERGE LAYERS. Not only that, but the Photoshop maker people ordered some Extenze or something one day and were kind enough to give us a cute little thing called MERGE GROUP as well.
And speaking of the Photoshop guys… who, without looking and cheating (if you cheat, I don’t really care) can name more than Thomas Knoll and Seetherenamanam Nanahan on the Photoshop welcome screen? I bet nobody.
Anyways back on point. This script is very sweet, and anyone needing to count their layers should give this a look and thank Kyle for his contribution. His photo work looks pretty sweet as well.
