If you’re gonna watch Airwolf, you really should start with the pilot episode. Because the plot is so incredibly patchy and hard to watch at times, you need all the help you can get. Without watching Shadow of the Hawke first, you have no chance of following the show.

Plus you never get to see Gabrielle. You never learn about how many people Hawke used to know. You’ll never figure out who the hell Earnest Borgnine is and why Archangel always wears an eyepatch.

So get your ass comfy and hit the play button and be ready to experience one of the best most horrible 80′s shows ever created. Enjoy the violence that is Airwolf.
