Photoshop Tips & Tricks

Making brushed aluminum in Photoshop is easy. Fill a color, add noise, and use motion blur at 90º to create the ‘grain’ of the aluminum. Using a Hue/Saturation layer on top of it is a great way to change your aluminum into wood grain. The same techniques apply to making wood grain as they do aluminum.
